Our Story

We advocate for all humans—whether they’re creatives, ambitious professionals, entrepreneurs, or multi-hyphenates—to embrace creative and organizational resources that nurture their mental and spiritual well-being.

98 Fig Press is a stationery company born out of a need to slow down for introspection, foster community and communication through letter writing, and revive creativity.

For over 20 years, the founder purchased stationery products and noticed that many lacked faith-based messages or failed to reflect women of color. As a Black woman of faith, she created 98 Fig Press to offer products that edify women of color through the Word and cultural phrases and quotes that bring joy.

Mission

Fostering space in the margins for:
Community / Creativity / Connection with God
Freedom & Liberation / Justice / Love

98 Fig Press

The inspiration behind our company name, 98 Fig Press, stems from the meaningful places where our owner’s passion for creative writing and stationery blossomed. As a child, she cherished her first Hello Kitty planner, which she owned on Fig Street in Alaska. Later, her individuality and creativity were nurtured during her formative years in Okinawa, Japan, represented by the area code 98. The term “press” not only pays homage to letterpress machinery but also signifies the transformative process, akin to how challenges shape us. We believe that God continues to develop something beautiful in the pressing we experience at different stages of life.

We nurture spiritual growth and mental well-being with creative tools that inspire connection and reflection. By fostering spaces for community, creativity, and faith, we empower individuals to embrace liberation, justice, and love. Our resources are designed to guide you toward clarity, purpose, and joy, while helping you navigate life’s complexities with resilience and grace.
